I want to expand a little on the post of last week that spoke to spam in the forums. Besides reading the actual post, which usually is all you need to do, there are a couple of other ways to spot possible spam posts. Both of these involve screen names people have selected when registering. To begin with, it usually is not a real name and will often have a lot of unnatural letter combinations - as if someone just moved their fingers across the keys of a keyboard. ie: uojopjlkj;lk dfdfdffdfdf lkjlkjiojlk. Secondly, they may use a company name or advertisement for a user name: CanadaPharmacy, BestSexVideo, Porno4U. If you come across something like this and the post is questionable, be sure to click one the report post icon (
) so the moderators and/or administration can take care of the post.
Another important thing to remember with the spam posts is do not click on the links. You never know what sort of site you will end up visiting or what that site might deposit on your computer.
