Have you looked in the archives of our digital scrapbooking newsletter lately? I came across one recently which has wonderful information that can be used over two years later. It has tutorials on photo techniques concerning manual white balance and manual aperture setting. Even though digital cameras have came a long way since 2006 it is still helpful to see these tips and the examples of photos that demonstrate how effective the settings can be. Did you even know that these settings can be changed in your digital camera? Many prefer not to read their manuals which came with the camera, but this demonstrates how effective simple changes to the settings are.
We also have Melinda Staley’s tutorial on, “Making Elements and Templates From Basic Shapes” in Photoshop Elements. This can also be applied to many other software types that are used in digital scrapbooking. Most have some form of a cookie cutter or shapes that can be placed together to create very interesting tags or other elements.
You can also pick up three free kits by previous sponsors for Febuary 2006:
“Cozy” by Carrie Stephens, Fishscraps
“Love Is” by Pixel Expressions
“Birthday Z” by Kristy Mettler, Jen Reed, Melissa Goerke, and Digi Scrapz
