DeDe Smith Reviews
Blockz

“I’ve enjoyed working with this kit so far. Dede Smith has a wonderful creativity so her kits will appeal to anyone who likes to play with their digiscrapping rather than just having it handed to them. Her Blockz kit has every block size for elements and every colour building mat for paper, plus some added tear-bear artwork bonuses. Even working in my 8.5 x 11″ paper size vs 12 x 12, this kit was workable, fun and one I will let my kids dump on the proverbial floor to play with too!” - sosumi
“Fun fun FUN kit to scrap with! And really, how PERFECT is this kit for all those Lego land photos!!! Love DeDe’s famous tear BearZ, as well as the little Lego people and elements that make this kit wonderfully great to play with! And the rainbow colors really brighten up your page!” - ronagavino
“I am very very very lucky. I now have ‘puter bricks to play with as well as my Lego. I like everything in this kit ‘cause I like building. I can build houses and cars and lots of sorts of things with it. There are some teddy bears playing with the bricks too, they are having fun, just like me.” - Lego Princess
Spring Remix

“So fun! I love the animal elements in this! Some bears, birds and bees. it’s so cute. The colours are bright blues, yellows and pinks, and it has a very outdoorsy feel to it so it will go great with those spring and summer pics!” - sarahwhithers
“I love the hand painted, and hand-drawn style of the papers in this kit, they are truly delightful. The brightly coloured birds, frog and bugs cleverly made from ‘hand-made’ paper make this a fantastic kit for the young at heart.” - AngelaUK
“This kit is so colorful and includes such cute elements. The possibilities are endless with the layouts you can create with this kit. The elements have a hand drawn look so it will give your layout a completely unique look from many of the other kits/elements available in the digital world today.” - Lady Jane
Lilac Spring

“Lilacs are my favorite flower and this is one of my favorite kits. The soft, floral themed papers are perfect for feminine layouts. I really enjoyed using the lilac sprig elements and the scattered floral overlays.” - clc
Farm Tearz

“When I opened this kit, I was at first surprised by the “templates” of different farm animals - then I realized how great they are. Build you own horse, cow, duck, rooster! What a great and creative thing to include! This kit is full of many papers and elements. I like the variety of items [overalls, tractor, gingham papers, farm bears] - and how well they work together - a very creative kit!” - DaraGolden
“Dede’s Tearz are really great to have, and I love the textures on her papers in this Farm Tearz set!
This is a really huge fully-packed set, and she has included templates for piecing 6 farm animals the way you like. Though I wish she had them in individual files for all the parts instead of each animal in a flattened PNG sheet, these templates were fun to use.” - scchua
Shannon Fahrnbach Reviews
On the Edge

“I have always loved the look of a crumpled edge when you’re working with paper, and these elements give you the ability to do it with digital! It looks so great and gives a very realistic look to your pages.” - sarahwhithers
“I love love LOVE to see paper curls on any page! They give it that total “paper scrapbook-ed” look. Shannon’s On the Edge curls give you a variety of how the paper curls on your page. Very easy to use: just apply a blending mode to suit your taste and a little bit of drop shadow and voila! an instant great look to your page!” - ronagavino
“I love ‘tearing papers’ as a torn edge helps add an interesting and 3D look be it on the mats or photos. Shannon’s ‘On the Edge 1′ - Torn Edge Overlays set is really handy for this purpose and her torn edges is great in quality with ‘crisp’ edges!” - scchua
Tiny Bubbles Overlays

“Tiny Bubbles Overlays – These are perfect for just about any type of layout and I love them! I’ve used them with photos of penguins at our local zoo but I can see them working nicely for wedding celebration layouts, layouts of children – whatever strikes your fancy.” - clc
“Tiny Bubbles are elements that are, you guessed it, bubbles. There are single bubbles, grouped bubbles, cluster bubbles - if you can think of a way to arrange bubbles, this collection has you covered! These are also okay for commercial use, which just adds to their attraction.” - DaraGolden
Gettin’ Dirty

“If you scrap-for-hire then Shannon’s kits are well worth checking out as many of them, including Getting Dirty, allow scrap-for-hire in the terms of use. I chose this kit for its versatility and simplicity. It contains a wonderful range of textures and patterns that would all work with practically any theme.” - AngelaUK
Scrapbasics Overlays

“These are a set of eight, full-size 12 x 12 high quality overlays. In this set is a mix of edge-style overlays, which can be easily dropped onto any paper to age the edges, and dirt/dust overlays which are intended to add interest to either plain background or a paper.
The scrap “basic” label is on the money because these are like your digital chalk/ink set: if you need to grunge up a photo, chalk out an edge, you name it, these are the most straightforward way to accomplish that digitally. In just one layout, I managed to use two different overlays in two ways. I used a dirt/dust overlay to age a plain-coloured background paper and on one of the photographs I used an edge overlay, scaled down, to give its border interest. What is nice about Shannon’s set is that she offers both types of overlays, and a few of each, to play with; a great “beginner” set with enough there for any digiscrapper.” - sosumi
Texture Brushes
“I used Set #2 of the Brush Sets cuz I just love the look of paint splatters and drops. These textures really give that extra bit of dimension to your page. You can use it as a background to a page, or even for just behind a picture or element. I do believe they only come in PNG format and something called PSPScript. But no matter what, these Brushes look great!” - sarahwhithers
“These brushes are so nice! They allow you to change the look of papers, etc. in kits enough to make a complete album of layouts from one small kit.” - clc
So there you have it! Tons of great kits and elements from our two sponsors are available to you. So check out their stores (Shannon Fahrnbach here and DeDe Smith here) and see what’s right for you!
