For those of you new to using forums, I thought I would start out with explaining the forum toolbar. It will help you navigate around the forums a little easier.
This is the tool bar across the top of the forums:
| User CP | FAQ | Members List | Calendar | New Posts | Search |
Quick Links |
Log Out |
“User CP” - When you click on this link it takes you to a page that allows you to do such thing as changing avatars, changing your signature, sending and receiving PM (private messages), and other types of housekeeping for your account. The CP stands for Control Panel.
“FAQ” - This link will take you to a page where you can check frequently asked questions about using the forums. The three main areas that have questions answered are: User Maintenance, General Forum Usage, and Reading and Posting Messages . Each one of these areas has a many answered questions.
“Members List” - List Clicking on this link will take you to a page that starts out an alpha listing of all of the RAKscraps members. It will tell you when they joined, what their avatar looks like, how many posts the person has, etc. You can search on the page if you are looking for someone specific.
“Calendar” - This is a link to what is described, the RAKscraps calendar.
“New Posts” - To check for new posts for the day, clicking on this link. It will take you to a page with a listing of those posts.
“Search” - This button functions to give you a brief keyword search within in the forum postings, but it can also take you into a more advanced search that you can make more specific.
“Quick Links” - Clicking here gives you a list of a number of functions that will help you navigate around the forum more easily. It has links to PMs, new posts, and members list to name a few.
“Log Out” - This one is pretty much self-explanatory. Clicking on it logs you out of RAKscraps.
If you are just learning your way around RAKscraps clicking on this tool bar can be extremely helpful. I found out what it was used for at a site orientation when I first started digi scrapping. The orientation helped me learn my way quickly around a forum. I hope this will be helpful to you.
